Following the release of her first full-length album "Ghost of Time" through Hong Kong's Infree Records, m/lue. has quickly completed her newest single, "In the Midst of Farewell" (Wakare no Naka de). Having already garnered attention for her theatrical expressiveness and delicate yet piercing lyrics, she explores the deep connections between people that only truly reveal themselves at the exact moment of parting. Gently capturing the tenderness and hope that lie deep within sorrow, m/lue.’s voice softly awakens the listener's own memories.

Recorded completely live in a single take alongside a talented lineup of support musicians, the session breathes with the raw atmosphere of the room. This sound marks her next definitive step forward into a brand-new story.

Crafted while listening closely to the thoughts and wishes of people left behind in their respective places within a dizzyingly changing world, "Ghost of Time" delicately portrays m/lue.’s inner conflicts and sense of helplessness. Yet, by tracing memories of the past and the cherished people and places nearby, the album beautifuly captures the struggle to imagine someone far away or a place unknown—and the small, enduring hope m/lue. strives to find within it all.

2025.5.21 released

"animals road," a pre-release single from the first full-length album "Ghost of Time" (released on June 25th), has been unveiled. Created while revisiting childhood home movies, this track traces the space between the past and the present, offering a fragile yet powerful affirmation of the here and now.

In addition, an acoustic version of the music video has been released on YouTube. Self-edited by m/lue. using archival childhood footage, this nostalgic visual work softly touches upon the personal memories of each viewer.

2023.9.27 released

m/lue. has released their new single, "Borei" (The Ghost), marking their first new music in two years. Written during the two years following the release of the previous mini-album "Aida," this track confronts the sense of despair m/lue. felt toward the world. It is a song tightly packed with the contradictions of human emotion, cherished feelings for people and places, and the hope that shines all the brighter from within that very darkness.

2021.9.29 released

m/lue.’s first mini-album, "Aida" (Between), features seven tracks that delicately and effortlessly capture the fragile essence of drifting between extremes—between dreams and reality, heaven and earth. Rather than offering overly positive messages of courage or hope, the album carries m/lue.’s gentle wish for listeners: "I hope you can just stay with the sound, exactly as you are right now."

2021.8.17 released

"To You, the One I Cherish" (Taisetsu na Kimi e), a track from m/lue.’s first mini-album "Aida," is a song crafted to gently walk alongside the many people they have yet to meet.

As uncertain days continued, m/lue. wanted to create a piece that felt like "speaking directly to the listener over a phone call." Driven by this vision, the track was produced entirely using the iPhone app GarageBand. Recorded through countless takes in their own bedroom, m/lue. performed every instrument themselves.

m/lue.(milieu)

The artist name comes from the French word "milieu," meaning "middle" or "environment."

Characterized by an indie-folk and ambient-pop style, m/lue. crafts a layered sonic landscape that blends acoustic instruments and environmental sounds with poetic melodies and spoken-word poetry.

In June 2025, m/lue. released the first full-length album, "Ghost of Time," which also saw a physical CD release through the Hong Kong-based indie label Infree Records.

In September of the same year, m/lue. hosted a special release concert titled "As If Imagining the Distance" (Toku wo Sozo Suru Yoni) featuring guest artist Tavito Nanao, marking the debut of the project's first-ever full band set. This was followed by a prominent opening set at "Yokosuka Bayside Breeze" in November. Around the same time, m/lue. was selected as an "Upcoming Artist" by the influential culture media outlet CINRA.

Starting in April 2026, m/lue. launched a year-long quarterly collaborative project titled "Things from Tomorrow" (Ashita kara no Koto) at the Daikanyama venue "Haretara Sora ni Mame Maite." This seasonal event series features Tenniscoats for the spring edition, Saho Terao for summer, and Kicell for the autumn edition in November.
